When chaotic cubism meets the elegance of ancient Egypt. 

Both movements present a captivating contrast that has fascinated me since childhood. The refined beauty of ancient Egypt and the unconventional forms of cubism are both striking in their own ways. So different, yet equally remarkable.

From a young age, I was completely fascinated by ancient Egypt. The pharaohs, the gold, Tutankhamun and the beauty of what Cleopatra might have looked like. I believe this obsession was sparked by my older sister who shared the same intrigue. I can remember sneaking into her room, rummaging through her large hardback books filled with images of the pyramids and the stunning hieroglyphic murals found in the temples.

On the other hand, my appreciation for cubism stems from my mother, who used to be an artist. I have always been drawn to the simplicity of shapes paired with bold, vibrant colors, as well as the swirling spiral-like characteristics of Gustav Klimt. These influences have collectively shaped my artistic perspective, merging the elegance of ancient Egypt with the craziness of cubism.
